What is DTF print?
DTF (Direct To Film) printing is a method of creating a transfer sheet by printing in full color on a special film and applying powder to it. Full color printing is possible on nylon and polyester materials.
About the difference between inkjet printing and DTF

Both can print in full color, but the results differ in the following points.
-
Texture
Inkjet printing blends better with the fabric and has a natural feel that does not affect the texture of the body itself. With DTF, the print adheres more firmly to the fabric, giving the surface a glossy finish. -
Color development
The color of the print may vary depending on the printer used. DTF produces more vivid colors when printed on a light-colored body. It is also possible to print white on light-colored bodies without darkening. -
Design
Inkjet printing is more suitable for expressing finer and thinner designs.
About glitter print

If changing to DTF Glitter Print: DTF Print Price +$4.32
The glitter print is specially printed using DTF and reflects the light, giving it an iridescent shine.
In addition to the same precautions as for DTF, please note the following two points.
- Some glitter splatters around the design
- Some peeling of the glitter due to washing etc. (To minimize peeling of the glitter due to friction to the printed part, We recommend washing by hand or inside out in a laundry net.)
Notes
Regarding the marks left on the body by heat press
Heat press marks will remain on the printed surface as it is heat pressed onto the nylon and polyester body.
Since the body melts due to heat and leaves marks, it is difficult to remove by washing, but it can be removed by smoothing out the marks with an iron.
*At the time of delivery, we will do a minimum amount of ironing, but please be aware that some marks may remain.
*The marks left on polyester material are a little more noticeable than on nylon.

Powder marks remain on the edges of the design
Depending on the type of body and design of submitted data, powder marks may remain around the design. (Image of the bond solidifying and becoming transparent)
Please note.
*Especially noticeable when printing on nylon material

Processing to patterned body
Please note that when processing the body of a patterned item, the pattern will interfere with the print, resulting in a slightly see-through finish.
Line thinness limit: 3mm (approximately 8pt)
The thinner the lines, the less fast the print will be, and the more noticeable powder marks will be on the edges of the print.
Designs with a line thickness of less than 3 mm (approximately 8 pt), which is the limit value, cannot be produced.
This is not only due to fastness and powder trace issues, but also because if the design is too thin, a white plate will not be generated and the design will not be reflected.
Transparency (bleed) of white prints and individual differences in color
*Cautions when a wide range of white color (or a color as close to white as possible) is present in the submitted data.
In DTF, heat pressing during processing causes some print transparency (bleed) and color tones to sink in.
Transparency is not noticeable in the case of non-white colored areas or a small area of white, but it may be noticeable in designs with a large area of white only.

Please note that white prints on ash-colored bodies will show through the body color.

Please note that when there is white printing on a white body, there is a possibility of individual color differences in the white color portion (slight yellowing of the white portion) and transparency of fine dust on the body.

It will vary depending on the product. Please check the maximum print size for DTF processing listed on each product page.
We print the design data that we receive from our customers as is.
The way the colors appear may differ slightly depending on your monitor and environment, and the printed product and the color you imagine.
Please note that color reproduction depends on the characteristics of the printer, so we cannot make fine adjustments to the color tone.
*Printing in gold, silver, and fluorescent colors is not possible, and will be printed in similar colors.
